Welcome to our family travel blog, where we share our experiences and tips when travelling with children!
Travelling with children is not always easy, but it is 100% worth it. It’s not what the influencers make out, but what your kids will learn from travel beats any classroom or text book. And we are here to help, sharing our recommendations, hints and tips for family travel.
Our website is full of the best places to visit with kids, and where to go when you are there. From exploring temples in Bali, to the mega cities of Kuala Lumpur and Singapore, to the Mayan ruins of Tikal.
This is your ultimate guide to travelling with kids! Our blogs contain a wealth of useful information. From entrance fees to opening times and honest reviews. Learn all about where we have visited as a family, our best family-friendly hotels and getting around.
We hope you’ll join us on our journey and enjoy our content.

Some highlights about us!

We’re an LGBT+ family passionate about showing our kids as much of the world as we can. We travel as a family as often as possible – whether that’s long-haul or exploring the UK.
I’m Kris and together with my wife Stef and our 2 children, we love to travel. I grew up in Nepal and have lived in Germany and Spain and Stef backpacked around the world post-uni. Travelling is definitely in our DNA and we are instilling that in our children whenever possible.
We spent 3 months in Malaysia and Thailand in 2019 using shared parental leave when our sone was just 6 months old.
Once the world opened up again post Covid we road-tripped around Denmark, island hopped in the Seychelles, enjoyed the summer heatwave of 2022 in the Welsh sea and chased winter sun in Spain, the Canaries and Madeira. We always knew we wanted to travel as a family again and so set off on a family gap year in April 2024 – and we are still going, having visited places such as Taiwan, Guatemala, Nicaragua and now Spain.
Away from travel we enjoy bike riding, paddleboarding, city breaks, walks and generally exploring new places, new foods, new cultures and even new languages. We live near Manchester and have family near Nottingham and South Yorkshire, and love spending time with our large friendship group, and therefore socialising and being with people is very important to us.
